Why We Exist
Music is shaped by circuits, rooms, and hands. The best work happens when the sound stays analog and the control gets intelligent. Roti Design Labs builds connected analog hardware and control systems so creators can move faster without giving up the character they trust.
Studios and stages are full of beloved gear that resists recall, automation, and integration. We design instruments and infrastructure that keep true analog signal paths intact while adding precise digital control, recallable states, network awareness, and a user interface that respects your workflow.
Mission
Build connected analog hardware, intelligent control systems, and next-generation studio infrastructure that elevate how creators work and how the world hears sound.
Founder-Led, Built From the Room Out
Roti Design Labs is founder-led. I’m a Columbia College Chicago alumnus with a focus in Audio Arts & Acoustics. I have always been drawn to the craft of audio gear and the architecture of recording spaces. That path runs through live rooms, control rooms, wiring closets, solder burns, and late-night sessions chasing a better take.
I build because I needed tools that were faster, more dependable, and easier to recall—without sacrificing the tone and feel of analog. That focus guides every decision: keep the signal path analog, add intelligence where it improves speed, safety, and repeatability, and finish it with a user interface that you don’t have to fight.
Analog Soul. Digital Command.
We design around a clear split:
- Analog where it matters: audio paths designed for headroom, noise performance, and musical behavior.
- Digital where it helps: control, automation, protection, diagnostics, preset recall, and system integration.
This intersection lets you keep hands-on tone shaping while gaining deterministic control and modern reliability. Real knobs. Real relays and switches on the audio. Smart control riding above it. Interfaces that are legible at a glance and confident in a dark room or a bright stage.
An Integrated Product Ecosystem
Our platform approach connects instruments, processing, routing, and control under one roof. Each device stands alone, and they get stronger together.
- StudiOS — The connected control and device‑management platform that unifies hardware states, routing, and system awareness.
- Auricus — A hybrid analog/digital amp profiling and guitar ecosystem focused on capturing feel and making it recallable across rooms and rigs.
- AURA — Intelligent analog processing with dataset‑driven optimization to align hardware behavior with session goals.
- AMCA88 — An 8×8 analog amplifier and cabinet routing matrix for fast, safe, repeatable signal paths in studios and on tour.
- Gateway Nexus — Scalable audio and control transport infrastructure designed to link rooms, stages, and devices with predictable behavior.
- Robotic Microphone Positioning Arm — Repeatable, precise physical mic placement for consistent tone and faster decision‑making.
- Smart DSP Plate Amplifier — An integrated power, DSP, protection, and display platform for loudspeakers and installations.
The architecture is simple: true analog paths at the edge, deterministic control at the core, and a common language over the network. That’s how we bring recall, safety, and speed to hardware that still sounds like hardware.
Our Standard of Craft
- Signal integrity first — Preserve headroom, manage noise, and avoid digital compromises inside the analog path.
- Deterministic control — States you can trust, recall you can repeat, and protection that watches your rig without getting in the way.
- Human‑centered UI — Clear labeling, strong affordances, and tactile feedback. No menu fishing for core moves.
- Measurable and musical — We test, listen, and iterate. Data informs decisions; ears make the final call.
- Service and longevity — Thoughtful layouts, accessible fasteners, and components selected for maintainability.
- Integration by design — Devices discover each other, share states, and slot into existing workflows without drama.
- Transparent development — We communicate status honestly. Features ship when they meet our standard.
How We Work
We prototype early, measure often, and live with our tools in real sessions. Mechanical design, analog topologies, firmware, and interface design evolve together. We build test rigs for repeatability, abuse hardware to find the edges, and simplify until the workflow feels inevitable.
The result is not just a box. It’s a coherent system: hardware that speaks, software that listens, and a user experience that respects your time.
Who We Build For
Recording artists, producers, mix engineers, studio owners, touring professionals, and system integrators who need reliable, recallable hardware with analog tone and modern control. Early adopters and partners who see the value in a connected ecosystem and want a seat at the table as it matures.
